Just a month into knowing each other, fate stepped in—Lara’s car broke down, leaving her stranded. Josiah came to the rescue, and over the next few days, as they worked side by side to get it running again, their connection deepened. Not long after the car was back on the road, they found themselves wondering what they truly meant to one another. A few heartfelt conversations later, they officially began dating.
A year and a half into their relationship, they moved to Nanaimo to continue their studies. One warm and sunlit January day, during a quiet walk through the forest, Josiah asked Lara to spend forever with him. Through happy, tear-filled eyes, she said yes!
